VS (make-up class)

So in todays class we started off by watching a short film, “The Lady and the Reaper”, the log line which I formed out of the visuals that I saw was,
An old woman who is happy to die to meet her dead husband in the after life, is prevented to do so due to the battle between the reaper and the doctor to save her to their sides.
I also understood the difference between what makes a comedy and that what is called comic relief with the sole purpose to release a long set tense from a scene. But that doesn’t mean the movie has now changed its genre to Comedy.
We discussed a lot about Genres, I understood how in a particular genre you could have sub genres, also understood the fundamentals that decide what category of genre the movie falls into.
We saw stunt clips from Buster Keaton’s films and understood why dead pan(expressionless) is an important skill for any and every comedian as it has a lot more impact than someone who is trying to control his laughter through out.
Following below are few of my notes from today’s class which contain factual data of  what makes a genre, what kinds of genre are and their sub genres.
