DF 31JULY W1.2
31.07.2019,
So today in drawing foundation class we learnt about the
basic elements that are present in a visual art, further we discussed their
applications, Sir showed us a few examples of how these elements were used in
photography, we then discussed the principles used in the process of creating a
visual or concept art.
It was interactive and I found it much easier to understand all
the principles and elements with the help of the examples that were shown, also
when we were performing an exercise, images helped me memories the term and
concept is a much efficient way. We studied quickly a little about colour theory
and in probably next class we will dive deep into it.
Post theory and all of the learning matter, we did an
exercise which was pretty cool!
We were supposed to give each sketch five minutes and try to
show or depict the words meaning into it. For example if the word is symmetry,
we had five minutes to sketch something that actually shows symmetry and while
we did this sir played something which had similarity of the words in its rhythm.
By this I learnt how I could incorporate anything with my style and how
everything I took was in a comical way. I also explored every words first
letter and tried to something creative out of it, I write doing typography and
to complement the typos I used my character ‘richal jaji’ to support the titles
that I had used. This exercise has helped me know each one’s perspective and
has led me to think quickly in a creative way, also implementing the principles
was necessary as we have always been always told for school times to rot learn
but such concept need to be implemented practically, and I guess we were successful
in understanding them as everyone in the class expressed it correctly and tried
to put in good effort.
